Decided to try out the Sigma 10 - 20 at the first track day/ test and tune day locally.
The venue is a driver training centre - essentially a large parking lot adjacent to the airport at Pitt Meadows in suburban Vancouver. Not too scenic, with lots of cones and fencing. I didn't want to use the 70 - 200 too much due to the backgrounds - I thought the Siggy would make the shots more 'scenic'. Weather was great but windy... I was surprised how much schmutz blew from the adjacent fields onto the track and the lens - had to clean the lens every 5 or 10 minutes.
All taken with 40D and the Sigma w/ Kenko Circ Pol mounted on a Gorillapod fired by a wireless remote (except #1 handheld obviously).
#1 - The venue:
#2
#3
#4
#5
#6
#7 - I was getting bored, so after a couple of Kilkenny's, I thought sepia was worth a try.
#8 - Obligatory 70 - 200 shot
