Hello all,

I haven't been to active lately due to my only PC, my laptop, going down...
It still fires up but the screen does not come on and it is too costly to fix.
I ended up purchasing a refurbished laptop for bout $450 or so.

I have a "Easy transfer" cord to move files PC to PC but never have used it before.
Will I be able to move files off of my old laptop to the new laptop without the
screen working on the old laptop? Is it like plugging in a external drive or..?

Any help will be welcomed as I cannot afford to take it to a shop to have them do it for me.

Note: You can edit my photo just tell me how you did it ;)

If the only issue with the old laptop is the screen working I would hook it up to a monitor to make you life much easier.

Another option is to remove the old hard drive buy an adapter cable for 2.5 drive ( comes in a kit for 3.5 or 2.5 drives to usb). Plug it into the new computer as an external drive and get the files you want.
