How much gear do you want to fit in the Lotus ICU? I dont have time right now to show you a pic but i have a small ICU. Tell me what you want to put in it and i'll let you know if it would fit and try and post a photo later.

It does not have a laptop sleeve as I understand it.

Ryan

That is incorrect, there is a laptop sleeve in the Lotus, but its a bit smaller than in the Satori, it would be good for a 13 inch laptop or a netbook, but nothing bigger than that. The satori and tilopa laptop sleeves are bigger.

Hey Dan - I have a gripless 50D, Canon 10-22, Canon 18-200 IS, and a Canon 50 1.8 that would need to fit in the ICU. The extra battery, charger, rocket blower, filters, etc. don't necessarily need to go in the ICU (but it would be nice if they did). Also, is there enough room inside the Lotus with the ICU installed that you could cram a Benro Travel Angel tripod (15 inches long by 5 inches diameter)?

Thanks - Ryan

A D700, 24-70, 50 1.4, and flash. That is about it. Is there a strap for a small tripod on it? From the pics, it doesnt look like it :(.

Ryan - yes your camera and lenses will fit in the ICU but not all the other trinkets. There will also be room for your tripod inside as there is room to put things down the side of the ICU and the bag interior is about 17 inches tall

Tuan- your camera and lenses will fit fine but no there is no strap on the outside to attach a tripod. For that you need to go up i size a bit to the Tilopa.

Hey guys sorry to waist all you time on this one ... but the Lotus will no longer be offered. It is sold out and will not return.

We will replace it with another bag called the Loka. I do not have an arrival date of the Loka but should have more info after the big Asia trip. The bag will be similar with a few mods, I don't have any public details at the moment.

Also FYI, when we do start receiving stock, the images will be much better to showcase our bags and its features... including the insides!

damn that bag is huge can you strap a snowboard onto it ?

Just to give you a visual idea of the what the bag can pack...

In this picture this bag has... axe, poles, split board, crampons, camera body, 2 lens, water and lunch, shovel, probe and some extra's. This was taken after 8 hours in the back country (not shooting booters, but ski touring).

I mounted the board in split mode because I had a 5km bike ride back to the parking lot, other wise I would have done it the normal way. Like this...

And what is often over looked about the bags and most important for me, is that I can still ride like I would with out a bag full of gear.

Both runs were ridden after shooting someone across the valley.

It should also be noted that yes the Satori (pic 1 and 3) is big, but the Tilopa (pic 2) is a smaller size and ideal for everyday snowboarding.

I've never heard of this brand before, but those are some great looking bags (that don't look like photo bags). I'm going to be watching this thread for new developments.

Welp,
In 5 days I am going to be driving cross country on vacation. I hoped to get the Tilopa by then but alas no show. Either way I need a mountaineer bag for later so I will wait. In the mean time I will be using 3 different bags for my gear. Uhg. I have a bud on standby to forward me the bag in case I get it during my trip. Fingers crossed.

Any news yet from Asia Ian?

We're going to have to form a support group for people waiting on these bags. :)
