The lack of updates is rather concerning. Thankfully I didn't preorder, as I would be getting a little antsy by now. Hopefully they can provide an update either on here or via their webpage.

I didn't put in an order until the end of the second pre-order phase. Anyone that put in a pre-order months ago for a product that was supposed to be here in April... well it's understandable if they are tired of waiting. I, for one, really want to hear how the Asia trip went last week, regardless of whether the news is good or bad.

Hi guys,

I know that the owner of the company is on a plane back from Asia as we speak. He will be back in the office on Friday so I would think there will be an update from Ian very shortly. It was not a flying visit , he spent quite a few days there at the factory from what i understand. I'm sure there will be an update at the earliest possibility.

Let's hope your correct dandig. You would think updates could of been provided last week while he was in Asia.

I may get proven wrong, but since the issues required a trip to Asia to look into I suspect it is complicated enough that a brief explanation just didn't suffice...hence we'll have to wait till he returns.

I have one on order, and while I would like to have it now.. I'm patient about the process. I'd rather it be right than fast. I'm hoping that when I get it I'll like it well enough to put my Nature Trekker up for sale.

I'm willing to wait and see. I want to see the new bag that is replacing the Lotis - I'm too short to use the big bags (anything longer than about 20" will be too long.)

Hello all, very sorry for the delays... again.

I have been and still am very busy, I am currently relocating from Japan to British Columbia and it it has not gone a smoothly as I had hoped.

With my schedule and Dru's (owner) We have yet to communicate with each other and I am waiting for an update. I can tell you that his visit was not simply a one visit one stop and problem solved. We are sourcing the best possible solution for our current issues.

I will be back as soon as I have something for you.

Good luck with your move Ian.

It sounds like the delay may be a little longer than most of us had anticipated. Hopefully there will be an update soon.

I just received an email from F-Stop.. I thought I would share with everyone. :)

"I am writing to give you an update on your order. I am just back from the trip to Asia to workout issues with the factory. I think I mentioned that we have been working through an intermediary production company that handles the arrangements with the factory. This is primarily due to our size and needs as a company – not to mention that I only speak English, French and a little Italian. At any rate it was this production group that we had lost communication with, and the point of the trip was to “drop in” on them and get things rolling. Long story short, they have disappeared – not completely surprising considering the number of factories going out of business each week in Asia.. The good news is that I visited the factory directly and have worked out a better arrangement. The project was already in process and there were just a few minor issues to resolve. The good news is the product should be finished and ready to ship from the factory by the end of July (possibly earlier) – there is normally a 60-90 day lead time just to get materials. We are paying for air freight from Asia, so with any luck at customs we will be able to start filling orders in Early August (possibly the end of July if we still have some good Karma accumulated). I will be back in Asia before the end of June to make sure everything is on track and will send out an update then.

As a thank you for your patience, we plan on throwing in a free lens strap, camera strap and digi case with everyone’s order. This is in addition to anything you have already received in the past. Of course if you would like to cancel your order, just let us know – since we have not billed your credit card it is very easy to cancel. I also plan on making phone calls to talk with everyone regarding their orders (north America only). It might take me a few days to work through them since there are 200+ pre-orders in the system.

Cheers,
Druid Orion"
