Got it for $2,399 when the $200 Microsoft Cashback is factored in. They promptly answered my pre-sales questions and within 40 minutes of ordering I had a PDF of the store receipt (without reference to Ebay) and a tracking number. It will be delivered on Tuesday. 7DMKII, 5DMKII, Canon 17-40L, Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro, Canon 70-200mmL f/2.8 II, Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary, Zeiss ZE 50mm Makro Planar, Rokinon 14mm f/2.8, Kenko Pro 300 DG 1.4x TC, Canon 2X III TC, 580EX II x2, YN560, RF603's

I'm a happy customer of pmidigital as well. They had the only domestic 24II on Ebay in the last two weeks - which I snagged while the cashback was still 14%. Arrived with US warrantee (and a brand new UX04xx date code) - no complaints with this vendor.

Canon will refuse to honor warranties on ebay transactions. I spoke to several people at NJ Service Center including some of the higher ups. They all said the same thing...if you bought it on ebay, no warranty. Despite my argument that ebay is just a sales platfrom only, they were not willing to change that stance. So do contact the seller ahead of time, and verify that they will be willing to give you a receipt that does not mention ebay. I was successful in getting a couple of vendors to cooperate and issue receipts that did not mention ebay at all. According to Canon's position, all those authorized dealers selling on ebay claiming warranty, are making false claims. Most reputable seller on Ebay will have an actual invoice from their store. If seller are offering unauthorized warranty on Ebay, Ebay will be the first to fire off posting violation in seconds and have all the auctions removed. I also don't believe Cameta, which has over 300k+ feedback would keep selling on Ebay if they have some sort of warranty issue. 7D, XSi, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 24-105mm, Tamron 28-75mm

May 05, 2009 00:12 | #29 yes. you are. 8% currently (which still gets you the $200 max cashback). I just went to live.com, searched on 'canon 5D mark ii'....first link that comes up is ebay, and away you go.

I only see the other companies that are doing the cash back. What's up with that? My Online Gallery
