Beautiful! The first one looks especially magical.

How is it composing the g10 underwater? Can you actually see the LCD or does the housing have some sort of guide? I found that my cheap point & shoot was more a "guess & shoot."

I have been doing amateur underwater photography for about five years. Most of that time I was using an Olympus C4000Z (4 megapixel). I shoot in the Manual mode so I am use to those features. It was just a matter of getting use to different buttons for the controls. So Composing the G10 underwater was very easy for me.

The 3" LCD on the G10 is like having a TV set underwater compared to my Olympus C4000Z. There is no guide and none is needed with the 3" monitor.

The wider angle 28mm lens on the G10 is a major plus over previous models. This is also true for other manufacturers that have done so.

The Canon WP-DC28 housing has all the controls the camera has except the dial on the rear of the camera. You compensate for that by using two different buttons at the same time. For example in the Manual shooting mode you use button #5 to toggle between shutter speed, F stop and focus choice. After selecting F stop you then hold down button #1 and at the same time push button #7 and #9 to toggle between F stop choices. The same applies for the shutter speeds and focus choices. Basically the #1 button compensates for not having the dial.

Thanks for the comments, Jim. I'm impressed that the LCD is useable.

The underwater shots on your website are great. I can see from your EXIf that you use the Sea & Sea strobe a lot -- looks like a good unit. Some of your shots with just the G10 flash looks very good too.

Thanks for sharing and I hope you post more of your photos soon.
