Hey all,

If I'm posting this in the wrong section I apologize. I'm looking to get my gear (see my sig) covered in Canada against theft and accidents. I've had no luck so far finding a good plan, and I was just wondering if any Canadian pro shooters have any advice for me in finding reasonable coverage? Right now, I'm currently working for a sports photography company so I suppose my use would qualify as commercial right now, however it's not my own business, I'm just an employee.

Thanks!
Alex

Use the search option, this question came up a few weeks ago.
Doesn't your employer cover your equipment when on the job?
An insurance which only covers your commercially used equipment is afaik not available. All "pro" insurances includes, a studio, liability, Error & Ommision, etc, however the costs from what I've seen are about $400 a year, replacement costs of your 1D is >$8000 (henrys.com), that alone is 20 years of insurance costs.
You can check out the riders/floaters that are available next to a home/tenant insurance, but they'll most likely not cover commercially used equipment.
