I got a flyer the other day from Hunts in the Boston area, they are having a "Big Sale, $10-$1000 rebates on EVERY digital camera" Its next weekend, Friday the 8th - Sunday the 10th.

Just thought I would let everyone know. I will probably swing by there on Friday to check things out, I'm in need of a new 40D and a 70-200 L f/4 IS.

Oh and I called the store, they wouldn't say anything about the rebates yet.

Sweet. I'll be done with exams... maybe I can go treat myself. Though I did just splurge on a Wacom tablet. I feel like I deserve some more!

Where's Hunt's anyway? I've always ordered online and from members here.

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Check your receipt before you sign it. Hunt's has been know to be forgetful when it comes to adding rebates and discounts. Check online before you buy, Hunt's rarely has the best price. I stopped shopping at Hunt's after one of their staff copped an attitude with me then started taking photos of me without my permission. Hunt's seems to hire a lot of arrogant wannabes with more ego than brains

There main store is in Melrose but I've also been to the one in Cambridge. Their prices usually are high, but I'll probably see what the "Big Sale" is all about anyway, probably just the Canon Rebates off their normal high prices but whatever. B&H doesn't sell the 40D anymore...

they will match B+H prices. They do it for me every time. I have had nothing but outstanding service from them.

I agree with the comment of their arrogance. Not all the sales people but some especially. When I switched to Canon I ordered 10,000 worth of equipment. They lost the sale to B&H because of their screwing around! Then they had the guts to call me and start telling me I didn't give them a fair shake!
