So after trying a friends Leica I, an avid canon user, bought two of their products.
I got one of the P&S D-lux 4's SE and the M8.2. I've just started playing with them but they are both sort of fun. I've spent more time with the little P&S and is has some very cool features. It has a lot of manual controls and some "neat" "picture styles".

I also like the size of these "reportage" style cameras. The M8.2 is very quiet and fairly compact and it doesn't draw a lot of attention. In fact when looking at it in a window it looks like some sort of cheap, tourist camera.

Not saying I would totally switch but I do like them a good bit and they do have their place and when doing indoor events, these really shine.

One great thing about Leica M is being able to see something before it enters the frame plus no black out when the shutter is released. No mirror slap helps keep things steady. A great camera for controlled peak of action type of shots.

Looking like a cheap tourist camera can be a good thing.

Then there is the cloaking technology that is build in.
