Well I checked the tracking number again. Turns out he
just sent it yesterday at around 2PM.
Are you saying that the original tracking # that he gave you was correct? If so, I'm thinking it was a case of someone at the PO not getting it taken care of in a timely fashion. Also, the 'accepted' time and date, in my experience, has not necessarily been the time that he actually gave it to them.
I've sent stuff out myself, and checked on the status via the tracking #, and have found this same kind of thing. The 'accepted' time was in one case, 2 days later than the day I sent it. Even though I know the guy at the PO, and I watched him scan the barcode when I gave it to him. I've also had stuff where the tracking # didn't hit the system until the day I got the package.
As someone else pointed out, it's not really a tracking #, it's a Delivery Confirmation #. I guess that means it's handled differently than say a UPS or FedEx tracking #.
Bottom line is, the package is in the hands of the USPS, and is on its way to you. That's a good indication that it's not a scam.
