I've only noticed now there is something on my sensor, checked with all my lenses the same mark is on every picture, I've never really notice it until today, then i checked all my previous pictures, the mark have been there since i got my camera! but i never really paid attention to it as i do mostly potraits and it wasn't visible, i spent 5 minutes Rocket Air blowing it but still no luck =( any ideas? before i send it back to canon

thanks in advance

edit: also it is more evident at lower apertures the first picture was taken at f/10 and its not as visible as the 2nd at f/14

It doesn't look as visible as the first picture because of the clouds. It looks sharper on second and if you closed the aperture down more it would be even sharper. Concentrate the blower on the lower right side of the sensor.

I have had great success using the Arctic butterfly brush on the sensor.

looks like hair to me. A blower will probably get it off.

It's clearly a piece of dust in there. You can get a better idea how much dust you have on your sensor by taking a picture of a blue sky at f/22 or higher. To clean it off if the blower dows not work I prefer the wet cleaning method.

i managed to get rid, just used Rocket Airblower like crazy, can't believe i never noticed it before, now im pixel peeping, seems like i got my self quite a few dust bunnies too, i dunno if i got in the process of removing the mark above, now my arms hurt from using the rocket blower will continue on later to try to remove the rest of the bunnies,

though i guess ill send my gear back to canon since my 24-105 is abit soft but that's a new thread im going to make XD thanks for all your help and suggestions <3 POTN

Send it back to Canon for what? Sensor cleaning? Please do not do that. Buy the Copperhill kit and do it yourself. It takes a minute or two at most and costs nothing, and your going to have to do it many times from now on, so you might as well learn to do it. It was a tense job my first time, but it was over very fast and I wondered what all the nervousness was about. It's really simple. :)

Looks like some sort of nematode in there. Better get him out before it multiplies...remember, they're hermaphrodites, so they don't need a mate!

Just messing, looks like some foreign object, dush/hair...

I second a rocket blower before contact w/the sensor. I posted a review on using the rocket blower about a year ago, may want to take a look... Blow the living crap out of it. Took me like 3/4 rounds to get all the foreign bodies out mine.

GL! Again, hopefully not a worm. ;)

Edit...opps read the last post by the op...So now I must ask, was it a worm??

I can't shoot at the beach. For some reason, I attract beach bums and their Geiger counters.
