Finally got out after a long time busy with other things. Was not out too long, but managed to find a few local favorites. The Great Horned has taken over a local Bald Eagles nest and currently has a baby in the nest, and the burrowing owls are just plain neighbor. The live up the block....:)

The burrowing owls have burrows throughout the area. I almost forget they are here at times. I got an email requesting info on them, so I took a drive by to see if the chicks had hatched...I did have the camera and was able to grabbed a few.

Yes they do like to take over "ready made" nest. This was built by Bald Eagles. I actually went by to see how the eagles were doing. I was quite surprised to find two GHO and one young fuzzy chic. The nest is half a block from the roadway dead smack in the middle of town..Go figure!

Yes this shot brought a chuckle to me. The small owls can be quite entertaining!

Many thanks to all that viewed and commented :)
