I shot with Ian (IESPhotography on here) today, covering thefix.co.uk 'TRI Nations vs UK' Sprint Triathlon (400m swim / 20k Bike / 5k Run)

The location was Dorney Lake at Eton college, this will be the location for the Olympic rowing events in 2012!

The weather was fantastic, and the lake in the background made for nice backgrounds.

Here's a few shots, as ever C&C appreciated.

#1 - Tried some swimming shots, but it was very tricky, need more practise/luck.

#2 - Next was the 20k Bike ride (4 laps around the lake)

#3 - Some were more serious than others ;)

#4 - Finally a 5k Run

#5 - there was also a 10K 'Fun' Run after with plenty of friendly rivallry between the teams.

Nice selection, Rich. Great shots. I really like the last one, it made me smile :)

The swimming one though, is that a crop or something, it seems to be lacking something and has some purple fringing.

Thanks,
I only spent 5 minutes shooting the swimmers as I needed to get in position for the bikes.
I found it tough to get any timing right to get a face in the shot, that was the best of a bad bunch, but I included it to make a set of images!

Nice gig! I had a look at your site, and you certainly fired a few off!!

I'll have to keep an eye open for the next time. I know the public won't be able to get to the prime spots to shoot from, but i'd be interested in taking a few shots none the less! :D

Beano there were some roped area, but you could certainly shoot from some areas easily.

I don't know what other events are happening there any time soon.

Great shots, were they shot at 2.8 as the subject is really nicely isolated in all of them

Thanks tmwag it was quite tiring! ;)

Cheers Adrian,
I didn't shoot at 2.8 as I wanted to get the handlebars etc. in focus as well, I think I settled for around f/4.
