Is this consider to be a good lens, or do you need to invest $1600 and get a better lens with this wide angle?

If you are talking about the Canon 10-22, it is an excellent lens. It only works on crop cameras (Rebels and XXD), but it is fantastic. One of the best UWA lenses available.

I dont know what you mean by spend $1600 and get a better lens, as there are not really any. The Fisheyes like the 15mm are not very "fishy" on crop cameras so the 10-22 and third party equivalents are really the only option.

Thanks for the reply
when I said 1600 on a better lens I meant a wide angle camera but with an f/1.8
verses the 3.5 here.
