I just purchased a new HP system. Trying to get it set up tonight.
it is:

Vista 64bit
8 gigs of ram
AMD Phenom 6750 quad core
nVidia 8800 GTS with 640 megs of DDR
I have installed all the updates, installed the latest nVidia drivers
I uninstalled all the crap, such as norton, and all the HP BS-ware.

PS installed without error, but when I try to launch it, It opens the main window, but it is all greyed out.... the curser does the wait swirly deal... and then after about 3 miutes, it repores (not responding) in the title bar.

I REinstalled CS3 AND ran adobe updater, and it added several updates to it, but still when I try to launch the program, no dice.... it hangs after opening the main window.

I installed LR 2.3, not problems.
Bridge launces without a problem.

What gives?

Thanks,

-Todd-

See if right clicking and launch as admin helps

This may be a last resort if you cant fix it, but I had some crashes a while back, and only completely un-installing the program worked. I had to use a program called Your Uninstaller 2008 to completely erase the registry. Try that if it doesnt work.
