I like the second one. What's the exif say on these?

Did you shoot into the sun for the second one, or did it just blow out?

EXIF on the 2nd:

Camera Make: Canon
Camera Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi
Image Date: 2009:04:23 14:36:05
Flash Used: No
Focal Length: 50.0mm
CCD Width: NaNmm
Exposure Time: 0.0031 s (1/320)
Aperture: f/16.0
ISO equiv: 800
White Balance: Auto
Metering Mode: Matrix
Exposure: Manual
Exposure Mode: Manual

I think my ISO was too high and it blew out the BG. I can try and bring down the exposure on the mountains, but I kinda liked that it was blown a bit. It was also ultra windy out, hence the motion blur on the hood.

Yes I would bring the ISO up to around 200 and use a bit of fill flash but I'm no portrait expert!

Agreed ISO is too high really like the second shot just wish the background was not as blown out.

Ok. Check out the original post. I tried my best in correcting the problems I was facing. What do you think?

... Sorry to make this confusing. I reuploaded the origs to refresh a family site with the newer versions.

Here's the old funky versions....

Really like the 2nd one (fixed). The colors go well together and you were able to fix that blown out bg nicely.

Funny. Someone else told me that it looked like a Justin Timberlake album cover or something.

Thanks for the comments, it means a lot to me.
