If you goggle my name, Marcus Christian, I'm the number one result. It's a link to my profile over at photo.net which actually includes a few of my (pretty old) photos. How cool is that (if you are a geek at least). Number 1 google ranking is pretty damn close to ruling the world. I am elite! Fear my google ranking! All other Marcus Christian's bow before me!

Or something. I may be over reacting a bit.

Also,. more unlikely do to it's origins,. my screen name even brings me up as #2 on Google..

I tried goggle.com but its spyware... I wonder how many "DUH!" hits they get!

Hmmm, third hit, some obsure posting I made to a non-photographic forum in 1998.

However add photography and I get the first two hits (actually one related to this forum).

Googling for my name returns the whole first page about me alone. It's been that way for quite some time, too. That's mostly because I have a pretty unusual name, though. There won't be many other pages with that name when I'm probably the only one in the world...

I can top it - do a search on my name and I get the top 20 hits! Sadly they are all related to my work and things I have been quoted as saying!

I found that I am the pastor of a church in Maine, as well as the Promotion Director of a gun enthusiast magazine in Wisconsin.

Funny, I didn't know about either one - I must be a busy boy!

Well, I'm proud to say that I'm very anonymous and you won't find any hits of me anywhere with my name (although there are lots of hits for the same name but they're not for me) and that's exactly how I like it.

Congratulations.

I tried the same thing using my real name, and got zero hits. Then, I tried 'Belmondo.' That didn't even get me to the first page of Google results because of the actor, Jean-Paul Belmondo. Finally, I searched Belmondo and Canon, and voila!-----numero uno!

I fear this exercise has only had limited results in boosting my ego.
