My pregnant wife at 36 weeks

Here's a picture I took (out of about 150 for this shoot) of my wife when she was 36 weeks pregnant with our Daugther Leah, who's now 1 month old. I did some PP to it as you can see. I'm no pro and am very knew to both photography and to PP. C&C is welcomed as I look to learn from others on this forum. I know that some are against 'selective coloring' and some are for it; hope to get interesting comments.

Exposure: (1/25)
Focal Length: 50mm

Aperture: f/1.8
ISO Speed: 100
No flash, all natural lighting

Nice shot and congrats to you and your wife. I am trying to decide if I like the SC in this or not.. I might have lowered the opacity a little bit but that is just personal preference. TFS..

I'll play with the opacity a bit tonight and see how it goes. TFS?

I really liked the bow until I saw the comment on softening the color. I'd be interested in seeing the repost, maybe a soft pink where you almost have to double take if it's colored or not? I do like the bow idea though!

I'll repost another version of it soon as I get to it. Baby is taking up a lot of our time

I like the idea a lot! +1 for the softened color attempt!

I like SC... +2 for softening the color - I just did one of a little girl smelling a rose and I had to soften the color of the pink rose.

Oh and I love the name you picked for your little girl!

WOW...captured the moment to a point.

The pink and b & w look good...and no need for me to say anything cause they've already sd it.

Here is the pic of the little girl with the flower - I took it for a friend of mine. I didn't save one with the original intensity but it was quite a bit brighter than the pink you see here.

and yes, I like the name because it's my name too!! Us Leah's have to stick together.

Beautiful picture. I now see what everyone has been suggesting on this thread. Can't wait to set time to apply the suggestion.

I never like SC shots....to me they look very snappy. But I too would like to see you lower the opacity to where it hard to tell if it's colored or not.

I really like this image and I think the pink bow works well.... my only comment would be is that the edge of the ribbon is untidy and draws my eyes to it.

Otherwise... nice image and a lovely memory.
