Was at Presqu'ile Provincial Park in Brighton, Ontario doing some birding, and caught this bird just as I was leaving. I've never seen one before and couldn't place it. Its not a great picture and its really cropped in, but I just wanted to know what I was looking at. Help would be appreciated!

Looks like a female Red Winged Blackbird to me.

Hmm. Looked it up, and yes, that's exactly what it is. I thought the females were more black that that and didn't have a white brow. Good to know. Thanks.

Hello to you from Trenton! Yeah, I was under the impression that the females looked a bit like the males, just with brown streaks. I guess those are juveniles. I'll know for next time.
