5D mark II in Canada went up $200

as of today, the 5D Mark II is 3300 in Canada...

yesterday it was going for 3100 @ most retailers....

I got it for 3000 last week.

Price at amzon went up $200 as well.

probably because of the rebates, they increase the prices / put in rebates so it appears your saving alot of money when your really not

Canada does not have rebates yet...and the 5D was not included in the USA instant rebates, so i doubt it will be in the Canadian rebates?

I think it's to equalize with US prices.

@ the current ~80-85cents to the dollar, its approxmiately $3200-3300CDN to import from the states.

camera canada extended their 3100 price as well, even though they specifically said it would go up 200$ on may 1st.

I noticed the price increase too. I can't afford this camera kit at the old price and certainly can't afford it at the new price.
