Buddy of mine called me to come shoot a little mini car show at the high school he teaches at over the weekend. Here are a few examples. 5D/135L @f2 for all shots. The rest are split between my flickr accounts, haha.

I like 3, 6, and 7 very much. For 1 and 8, your DOF is too thin for my liking; for 8 I'd prefer most of the GT500 be in focus, and for 1 a bit more of the letters in focus would be nice.

thanks guys. I really had some fun playing with the super thin DOF at f2 all day. I know it's borderline too much on some of the photos but I think for the most part the viewer is still able to determine the make/model of the car even with the DOF. Thanks again!

More letters sharp on the TR3 would be much better for me.

I agree 100%.

Yea I realized I was cutting it a little close with some of the super thin DOF photos and agree with you guys totally that for some of them, having more in focus lettering would add to the shot. I'll do better next time.

When in doubt, take a few shots at different DOF. "Film" is cheap? ;)

No worries! Only constructive criticism here. I love playing with thin DOF as well, just thought I would mention my preference :)
