Hey,

Working on a new site and would appreciate feedback from regular people as opposed to computer freaks.

Thanks in advance,
Saqib.

1: Title doesn't give the right information
2: Welcomepage is unnecessary
3: Copyrightnotice is unnecessary
4: Get a favicon
5: About: Your a photographer, how about an unobtrusive image on the left?

thanks for the reply.

1 - sorry I don't follow?
2 - most sites have these I thought?
3 - actually, it is as some people take screen captures and print using those (I have had this done to me)
4 - work in progress
5 - the coder was thinking to use a collage of images on the left - i moved house so my system is down currently but when my new desk arrives (yipee!) tomorrow I will be able to upload those.

Any other comments re how the site works? does the look seem ok?

1: The title of your webpage is important, and you do not use it to inform users and searchengines in the right way. Location and type of photography are probably your best bets.
2: If you have gotten this impression I am sorry to say that you have in all probability visited quite a lot of badly designed websites, seeing as they are not useful at all in most cases, and merely a hindrance for the user. Usability is the woots.
3: Then you just rub this (external link) under their noses.
4: Good, more people should realise its value.

thanks again:

1 - i assumed that comes up in the meta details?
2 - woots?
3 - the general public have no idea about the inside and outsides of copyright - but if they see it, they generally think 'oh it's professional'.

thanks again :)

1: a) What good do metatags do if I want to find a tab? b) Linkyready
2: Positive expression. Also replacable with "The ****s", "very important" and "good nice woozyness"
3: The general me thinks "argh, unnecessary", and people who want to rip your images won't care about copyrightnotices.

Flower logo doesn't float to the bottom when viewing galleries, it's a 'clean' site but not much to make it stand out.

Gallery is also broken in Opera where sometimes the images will break out of the boundaries.

As noted above don't use a welcome page...

I hope you don't mean a moving background is positive, and just that he should get a bigger flower?

No it's about 80px off the bottom compared to other pages which has it correctly positioned.

I've attached an example of what I mean. This is in Opera 9.64, not tested in other browsers.
