Had a wander around the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens (Brisbane, Australia) early on Monday morning and came away with this assortment:

Already commented on these on flickr, but I'll do it again here ;-)a

Love the bee and the little green fly (#2) the most, but all are very good.

really nice shots AMD72. Mind telling us your flash setup? I just got my first macro lens to have a play around with and my shots are nothing like that!

Thanks Guys

Gethin - I have a 580EXII with a Lumiquest softbox on it. I set the flash on manual and then dial in the power I want (varies quite a bit based on the amount of ambient light - lots of trial and error and some missed shots). I have also been recently told about setting to ETTL and then using a flash exposure compensation of around -2/3 of a stop. I will be giving that ago tomorrow hopefully.
