Enjoy your 550EX. I love mine, been using it for many years with the EOS-3 and now the G6. It's a wonderful flash, very dependable, and has never let me down.

That's exactly why I bought a similar flash to my aging 540EZ - I've had it for about 7 years, tens of thousands of photos, no troubles. There is something to be said about owning the OEM gear, whether it's lenses or flashes.

Hi, The XT should be able to use all functions of the 550, including "ETTL", therefore making it a type "A" camera. The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.
