You can not be more right! These two ladies had been growing their fur the whole winter, and this is the result. :rolleyes:

In fact, there is no major PP done in the second picture: some level and dodging/burning to make the dog 'pop' a bit more (I'm not very satisfied to the result.)

If you refer to the background, that's how it was. Sun was warming the sea (external link), hot air rising and creating convection cells (external link) which where diffracting light unevenly creating these 'wavy forms' or heat shimmer (external link) (we must have a meteorogist here who can explane this correctly ;)).
