Mandarin Ducks

I went to the park recently because I had heard reports of a couple of Mandarin Ducks. I spent about an hour looking for them and just when I was about to leave I heard some noise coming out of a nearby tree.

Curiosity may kill the cat, but it also rewards you sometimes. There were 2 males, 1 female (not sure if this is a Mandarin or a Wood Duck) and a male Wood Duck up in that tree.

Private breeders may have a few.

Nice shot Bea. They aren't in short supply, the breeders and owners of them just keep them penned up cause they are about $200 each. Someone needs to breed a bunch and just let them go.
