If you are in the market for 70-200 lens, you ought to seriously order it from Beach Camera. Also you may want to check their credentials at http://www.resellerratings.com/ (external link).

I don't really like their return policy - 10 percent restocking fee on a 70-200 Ouch!

wow that's a bit of a shame. i've been watching all this activity on that lens, but for a retailer to do that. well to say it's disappointing is an understatement

If people would let these shops know you will not do business with them and spread the word about how they raise prices either right before or during a rebate session they would quit doing this sort of thing!
B&H pulled this stunt a year or so ago and enough complained that they actually put there prices back.
We all have to stand up and stick together on this type of rip offs.

The only place I buy from is B&H. They have been very good to me (with returns, etc - even after the deadline). I find this very disappointing. I hope they are paying attention to these threads. I'm in the market for a few lenses but for the first time I'm considering other places.

Does anyone know if purchases made thru live qualify for cash back? It states that if other coupons or discounts are used (special sale) then CB does not apply. I wonder if the rebates is considered a special sale.

I'd be very wary of Beach Camera, considering this experience: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=684297

B+H and Adorama would appear to have annexed half the rebate. They do this about every other year. Then someone will issue a apology and say that it was a mistake.
