This was the only one who ever sat down- I got 3 shots and off he went again! __Jim_______________

May 07, 2009 11:06 | #11 Nice, very nice photo. How far away were the parents? Didn't they get upset about your presence? In my experience they get rather nervous with two-legged creatures getting too close to their young'uns 5DMkIV + some Lenses

In my experience they get rather nervous with two-legged creatures getting too close to their young'uns You would think so, but this is in a city park where probbaly hundreds of people a day go thru. At one time I was kneeling down on a sidewalk and one of the babies walked by my right side within about 6ft. I didn't move becuase it was too dim to get a shot there anyway. As that gosling got near me, one of the parents quickly walked over IN BETWEEN me and the young'n. He/she was very calm - I said " don't worry Mom, I'm just looking" she just walked by as a shield. Our faces were about 3ft apart and at the same height! It was way cool! __Jim_______________
