Immature Yellow Crown Night Heron

It seems the younger birds will let you get a little closer than the old timers. I noticed this Young YCNH perched on a wooden post as I was walking through the preserve. I approached very slowly and was able to get some close shots of him. These are all uncropped shots with the 100-400L.

Wow, if you were able to get close enough for that last one uncropped, that's amazing.

Terrific shots! I got that close to an adult once and loaded up on shots!
