I just sold my XSi, according to UPS tracking, I get my T1i in 2 more days. Can't wait to try it out. The video capture ability alone is a big deal for me. If the high ISO noise is reduce, then it would really rock.

Photography is not defined by what gear you own.

I can't think of a reasonable reason to upgrade from an xsi to the T1i. The iq can't be that much better, the high iso can be compensated for, and video in dslr's still seems a bit wonky to me. I much prefer having a dedicated camcorder (Canon HF10:D). Still, I'm sure it's a fine camera.

I just got the camera today, well yesterday technically and I am so excited, the material around the grip feels better then the XSi and its little easier to hold because the grip is ever so slightly bigger, Im new to photography so Im not gonna sit up here and and say the images are trumping the XSi or anything because I only had that camera a couple of months and didnt take extensive photos with it. But so far so good. Here goes my box shots and my ducks are coming soon. By the way, the photos Im posting where scaled way way down from the RAW files. The original RAW image sizes where 4752x3168 and 19000 KB, the JPEG files where 10.5MB! The files I am posting where scaled down to 1024x683 and are an average of 120KB with a quality of 3 out of 10 using the Digital Photo Professional software from Canon. With all of that being said here goes the Box!

If I come across a decent one today or tomorrow I will post it for you! Any particular request? Low light or something?

Hello, I'm new to the forum.

I made the T1i my first DSLR purchase as a graduation gift to myself and I've been playing around with it since Monday and I love it.

Here are some photos I had taken earlier this week

Anyone been able to use the T1i RAW files in Photoshop CS4s ACR yet? I don't think ACR 5.3 supports this camera yet...

I am really loving this camera so far. I tend to shoot a lot of low loght stuff so good performance at High ISO is important. 12800 is not really useable. but 3200 and 6400 are not half bad. and 1600 is pretty darn good. here is a shot at 1600 ISO
