Anyone have any place on the web where they order white matts? I need it a 11x14 Mat, with a 8x12 (1/4" less on each side) window. White on White... archival quality.

Sadly Matcutters, which is my usual place does not carry it and they annoy me with a "25%" re-stocking fee.

They're rather expensive, but they seem to give a good discount for quantity. I may have to stick to my local frame shop, she charges me $17.00 for a very very nice mat and backboard plus 20% discount.

I'm surprised, there seems to be very good mats ($15+) or cheap mats (<$5), and not much in between.

EDIT: Just to be clear -- I do all of my selling and gallery stuff with the Frameshop, but for myself, my family and local club competition -- the ok mats are good enough. Hence why I was looking.

I sell my artwork at local Art's and Craft shows and galleries too, that's why I buy in bulk. They customer service is excellent. I've had one time that I ordered the wrong size for an opening and they called right back to tell me I goofed. :D

Why not invest in a mat cutter and do it yourself.. i've saved an unbelievable amount of money since i started doing that.. and you can do any custom sizes too with having to rely on other people.

In high school we went to AC Moore, Michaels or any craft store. not sure about the quality compared to those at frame shops but i know they sell like 20x30 or somethin for about $10.

There is a Michaels around the corner and they do have a custom mat/frame shop I'll ask there. Thanks. Have to push my luck, but any links to a place that sells the cutter? Maybe Youtube link on how to use it? :-)
