I am looking for a high quality service that prints upto A1 size prints, most likely A2, from digital files, that I can upload via the web, based in UK, and sends the prints out (either to UK address, or overseas). Does any one know of any such place?

The prints are most likely to be odd sized, e.g. not strictly A2 paper standards, but irregular and differing for each print, e.g. some may be 101cm by 107cm, and others 70cm by 85cm. etc.
Prints most likely to be 'glossy' and I can get the framing done afterwards.

I haven't yet had the chance to use them so hopefully some others may come in with recommendations, but I've heard good things about Peak Imaging (external link) so they may be worth a look.

They can print up to 50"x30" with digital uploads via their own ordering software so look to do what you want, it's just that I couldn't personally vouch for the quality of their prints.

I have used Peak Imaging before for analog photography (medium format/35mm developing etc.) and I have been VERY happy with them. I did not know they make digital prints, but I have just now seen this on their webpage. Time to read and see what they have to offer....

I can't recommend RGB Labs in Middlesboro highly enough. FTP service for online ordering and prints up to A1. Give em a call and ask for Graham or Emma.

I was looking for something 'possibly' larger than A1.
There is a print house in Stockholm that uses the Lambda 130 printer, that can handle widths of 127cm, but that comes with a price.
If I go with A1, I will consider these UK options (they are slightly cheaper also)

I have just found somewhere in the UK that also uses the Lambda 130: http://www.kands.co.uk/digital.htm (external link)
so it is time to get reading...
