Hi

My Father recently had a problem with this company here is his story (posted on AVForums)

I ordered a canon camcorder from camerabox on 25 April money was taken from my credit card within 2 days, no camcorder despatched (supply problems) a week goes by no camera and lots of waffle by email from a bloke called Gary Smart. Changed my order to a Panasonic (showing as in stock) extra £100 taken from credit card email received from Gary Smart to say goods would arrive next day (2 days before my holiday) Wife waits for delivery no delivery !!! called camerabox told "Sorry bit of a mix up we are now out of stock" I really am not a happy customer by now told women that I would be taking matter up with my legal advisor, Put on hold then the famous Gary Smart comes on the line saying I am a nasty customer and have made his staff cry and camerabox do not want to deal with me" I say fine and I want my money back now or I will report them for theft (money taken no intent to supply goods) result 30 hours later money returned to my account, Given other messages in this thread I will be watching in case a unauthorised attempt to draw on my card is made.

My advice they might be cheap but I wil be paying more for a professional service in the future.

Fellow readers please draw you own conclusions from this tale of wo

thought you guys may be interested

I had the opposite experience with CameraBox. A company based in Thame, Oxfordshire.

During the bank holiday I ordered an item. They would have returned to work on the Tuesday. The item was received by me on the Wednesday morning.
