SanDisk 4GB II and IV writing problems with 50D

Is anyone having problems with their SD CF cards? I've experienced wiriting problems with my 4GB II and IV. Had 100+ of 700 with banding issues and can't read file. Switched today for my 2GB and no issue.

Happens on Continuous high speed and single shots.

Had the issue with the previous version that popped up. Upgraded to latest firmware and still issues with 4GB cards.

And yes, I delete and format each time.

Canon 50D , XTi (Standby) 70-200 2.8L IS - 28-135IS, 50mm 1.8 (Nifty Fifty), EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS, B+W Filters, USM430EX Flash, Giottos Tripod & Monopod, Tamrac Expedition 5.. ESO - Equipment Superior to Operator :confused: however really appreciative of the the expertise on the site.

Almost 700 shots with my 50D and 4GB Extreme IV since I bought both in February. Zero problems. I never reformat.
