Went out-of-town with my wife today to visit my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. After dinner, I went out onto the back yard deck to play around with my camera (still doing a lot of learning with this guy).
Heard some noise coming from the end of the yard, and saw this guy in the top of a weird little tree who appeared to be standing guard over something. He stood there for a while, then flew off.
I changed position on the deck and saw what he was guarding. Looks like his missus was doing some nesting.
Looks like it was Mother's Day for everyone!
