You don't get any reach advantage with a 1DIII over the 5DII. A 5DII cropped to the same size as the 1DIII sensor is a 13.5MP image...or higher resolution than your native 1DIII file, so you'll actually get more usable reach with a 5DII than you will with a 1DIII. Now the 50D has a significant reach advantage over the 5D II.

Good point. I just meant in general I like the 1.3x crop, on a cam to cam basis, given the same MP.
