Great video. Only thing more dramatic would be you slamming into a carload of people and killing them.

I don't have much tolerance for joyriding while you risk other peoples lives.

If you were on a closed course, my apologies.

Appreciate the BTS shots above but honestly, the image you used for the background of the slates between cuts is much more compelling than the video itself. You'd have to be pretty hard core to be able to recognize what it is you're trying to show with just a lockoff over the shoulder looking at the speedo.

A little time lapse using the same POV as your slates would be pretty damn cool...

The over the shoulder shot was used with the same rig. The speedo shots were actually used to view the tuning modifications. I was also testing how "jittery" zoomed video would be. I just threw it together and it came out "ok"

I am going to play with the theme over the summer and try to get a 3:50 video with engine sounds as well as track driving.

Must be a tight track, :13 seconds in you've got an oncoming car going past you. I condone responsible street racing. :-)

ya, like said before, the video really wasnt anything, it was actually very flat and boring. The photo that u used between the video was good tho.

Also he was not on a closed circuit as u could see cars go by the top left side of the video..anyway.. F for effort

You said you "don't have much tolerance for joyriding..."

My advice to you then is to never ever ever ever ever come to Japan. At least at night

If the average performance car driver in Japan drove the exact same way he/she drives on the streets in Japan, but in the USA. He/she'd be in prison for a long long time.

Well then, another good reason to live in the United States. It really doesn't matter where you drive, if you are joyriding and risking the lives of the public, shame on you and I can't really feel sorry for you if the consequences are bad... but I do feel sorry for the families of someone that may die.

Im definitly with you on this one. I unfortunatly know all too well what can happen when idiots get behind the wheel.

if he says it was filmed on a track then ok.

anyway, i would love to see some more wide angle shots from inside the cabin, maybe abit of long exposure stuff like the shot in the video. i have always wanted to try this but have never bothered to set up the rig properly to get it steady.
this rig seems like a pretty good one.

Night shots driving around it the next test. I am interested to see the video effects from a wide angle.

I shot the cabin picture with a 40D using the same rig, so video and stills are should not be an issue. I do not know if the exposure for video will give me the same effect...?

To pull off a decent exhaust note, I'd have to run a external mic behind the rear seats to the trunk and leave it just outside the trunk.

I guess it's all a matter of how much time I want to spend playing with this.

May I ask, what did you edit the footage with? what program?
