Finally had the best weather weekend we've had this year. It's amazing what some light can do for your pictures. Here are some lax shots from the weekend. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

wonderful stuff man. if I HAD to crit anything, it would just be that it looks like your WB is a little inconsistent. Check the difference between image 6 and 7 or 8. The last two seem a bit cooler. Might just be one of those things. Regardless, these are great.

Love them, John. Amazing what light does. I had an overcast day last weekend and just wasn't thrilled with most of the shots I took versus those when I've got a lot of great light. Beautiful job here. Where do you prefer to place yourself? What is lens of choice? I shoot with my 100-400.

Nice stuff. I am jealous as my son plays box lax in a dark, dingy arena which makes it almost impossible to get anything worth keeping....

Thanks Scott. I don't think the WB is as inconsistent as it is just different. #6 was taken much later in the day than 7 and 8, during that "golden hour" time which really added warmth to the photo. So yes the WB is different, but I would attribute it to the time of day. Thanks for your comments!!

Tom, I use a Canon 400 f2.8L. As for positioning, I like to hang out on the sideline even with the goal and I also spend time right on the corner of the sideline and end line. I have recently started experimenting with shooting from about mid-field, but results from there are mixed at this point.....

Thanks, I can see where the indoor version would be a challenge.......

I usually spend some time around the midfield position to pick up the faces of the defenders.

Nice set, but a little nasty weather adds some character to the images ;).
