I took the plunge today and picked up a 50D with battery grip!! Man, I feel like a kid in a candy store! I've had my Rebel XT for 4 years now, and although it's a great camera, this is a whole different level for me. The camera feels great in my hands, and with the battery grip, I can be more comfortable going vertical.

I can't believe the quality of this image! Shot at 1250 ISO, 1/80th shutter speed, f4, AWB, and "Faithful" image setting in RAW. Only post-processing was resize, some vibrance, and sharpening. Absolutely amazing, and there are more to come.

A couple more.

Jolly good :)

Don't fall into the trap of messing around with AF Micro Adjustment unless you absolutely have to.

Congrats on the new gear...

BTW, the image settings have no affect in RAW. The only place you'll see any differences are in your camera LCD (which is a JPG preview) and if you use DPP as your RAW editor. Otherwise, RAW just, well, RAW... ;)

Oh, and I'd throw those brownies away. They've been left out too long and have stuff growing out of them...

Amen! I'm lazy with stuff like that, so I will not mess with it unless necessary.

Congrats and welcome to the 50D club, is there one yet?
Looks like you've got some expensive hobbies.
