I'll be waiting for the Giottos SP 83012 to be released.

The Giotto AEGIS Glass Screen Protector for the Canon EOS 40D, 50D and 5D Mark II Digital Camera is made with ultra-high quality Schott German glass to preserve the optical properties of the LCD's display. The Schott glass protection is only 0.5mm thick and adds no significant weight or bulk to the camera body. Most importantly, the glass layer protects the screen from impact, chemical damage and scratches which can mar an LCD viewing screen. It affixes to an LCD screen with a thin layer of TESA 4972 very thin filmic double-sided tape which prevents air bubbles from forming under the glass. An added bonus is that the screen is removable and replaceable if it gets scratched or damaged. AEGIS screen protectors also feature multi-coatings that lower reflections, withstands UV light, and enhances the overall image display. Both sides of the glass are coated with 12 layers of Anti-Reflective (AR) coating that provide an outstanding 98% transmission of light in the 420~680 nm range. HTH Charles

Nov 11, 2009 22:14 | #22 This is personal preference for sure but I had them on my last 3 bodies and thought they did reduce glare a little. I haven't however added on to my 5D Mark II as of yet and probably won't since all I've read is that the screen already has a protector on it and it is relatively easy to replace if need be. ALL Canon DSLRs already have a protector on their LCD displays, and they are all easy and inexpensive to replace. Skip Douglas

I think I've seen protectors for those somewhere before...do any of you use them? I'm guessing the changing out the top LCD is a whole different ballgame than the main LCD and isn't as easy to replace? Canon EOS 5D Mark II | My Flickr Favorites
