I had to go to Manchester Airport to pick up my daughter who was arriving back from a holiday in Lanzagrote', thought I'd go early and see if I could get a few shots. Also a Concorde is housed here in a purpose built hanger where you can go in and view it (at a price), it was not open when I was there so had to shoot it through the dark glass outer skin of the hanger; seemed to work OK (pic number five). The last shot on here (pic number eight) seemed to get a few others gathered quite exited, it was apparently a brand new plane being delivered from Canada (for Viking); from the voices coming over someones scanner they were French Canadians crewing it as well. They came in on a normal approach but just as they were about to touch down; the plane powered up and off they went again, they did a huge circle then came in and landed (getting a little dark by then).
Hope they're not too boring

Cool shots!

I was there in 2005 - the Concorde used to sit outside. Nice to see they finally put indoors.

Especially since this is the first one right?

Callsign G-BOAC --- British Overland Aircraft Company I believe...

Thanks for the comments, number 6 was a bit of a rushed shot and I had to edit it quite a bit; hence the slight drawing like appearance of the plane in the foreground. I could have probably up'd the shutter speed a little; got slightly sharper images and still retained the prop blur (it's always a learning curve). To be honest I have no idea which Concorde is housed here as the place was closed and no info was on the outside of the building but I always thought the French got the first ones, also don't know about the call-sign as BOAC disappeared as a company a long time ago; it must have been a bit of a nostalgia thing.
