US vs. Imported Lens from B&H Photo

hello. other than the price difference, is there an advantage by purchasing US vs imported lens from B&H?

and as far as the lens build and quality, any variation?

There is no difference--all lenses are the same, come of the same line, with no international differences (unlike bodies which will often be differently named and may have minor mechanical differences).

Canon USA will repair either lens under warranty as long as you have the B&H sales receipt (the Canon USA policy is to repair any lens sold by an authorized Canon reseller).

And there is precious little difference in price, either.

awesome, exactly what i wanted to hear! i actually thought the imported version had to little or no US warranty coverage, so this is great news!
