hello. other than the price difference, is there an advantage by purchasing US vs imported lens from B&H?
and as far as the lens build and quality, any variation?

TIA There is no difference--all lenses are the same, come of the same line, with no international differences (unlike bodies which will often be differently named and may have minor mechanical differences).
