B+W Circular KSM Polarizer Price

A weird thing happened to me today, I had this 77mm circ. polarizer in my cart at Adorama for 130.00 and clicked the link to make sure I had the right one and it went up to 190.00. Yikes!

I was still able to purchase for 130.00 since it was in the cart. Glad I had it in the cart

I think they went up @ B&H as well. Just bought one last month but can't look at order history to verify right now...server issue. I could swear that it wasn't $190.

Did Mr. Kaesemann buy the farm and his sealing process stock go thru the roof? LOL

Be glad that you were able to procure the filter from Adorama for the $130 purchase price. I ended up purchasing a B+W 77mm Kaeseman CPL (MRC) filter from B&H back in January for one of my Canon lenses. I too, was shocked to see a price jump on this filter from $190 to $240!!! Several months later, the advertised price fell to $170. Go figure...

hvstar always has 77mm for $140 something....you just have to wait for it to come from china.

Wow, I'm glad I bought mine about two/three weeks ago, it was only $140. After shelling out $200 for the 86mm B&W Kaeseman for my Bigmos, I don't think I'd want to dump another $200 for the 77mm. I must have just skidded by before they raised the price. But, I've said in the past, if you spend that much on a lens, you should spend a fair amount on accessories. After paying $1800 for the 28-300mm L, I figured $140 for a filter wasn't a bad price to pay, especially considering how perfect the B&W filters are.

Plus, good filters, and the B&W filters are great, are going to be pricey.

True, true. Hopefully it's the last 77mm circ. pol. I have to buy.
Anytime you can get a break on the price it's nice for a quality product that will last a long time.

In February I was browsing B&H for a few hours. I had a used floor model in ex condition for the B+W 77mm KAESEMANN CIRC POLARIZER FILTER - BWKCP77 in my shopping cart for about $130.

Well it was about 2am or so, I had my laptop in bed while I was adding and removing to and from the cart a few other things for a couple hours...

Next thing I know.. I woke up the next morning, the filter said not in stock when I went to complete my cart. I "needed" this filter for the weekend so I ended up paying $234.. talk about a bummer.

I bought my 77 mm Kaesemann Slim on Monday for $146.95.. it's now $192.95 at B&H...

The non-slim version is only $3 cheaper!

Was able to log in to check my old order. 2 weeks ago, I ordered a 77mm slim KSM CPL for $146.95 from B&H. Now it's $192 from same store.

I have difficulty understanding this HUGE price variance for these particular filters at B&H?
I realize the Kaeseman CPL (MRC) is a "quality" filter , but come on! Is it supply and demand?

Does that qualify as "You snooze, you lose."??
