Yes, it's in San Diego CA. But quadwing observation was good. It's a place called 'Old Town' so it kind of has a look like New Mexico.

Since he's from CA and there's a CA flag on the pole. I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say that it's somewhere in CA

I usually try to mix up my HDR work by sometimes making it look natural and other times like a painting. It's whats fun for me. To me trees look awsome in HDR so I usually bring up the color saturation a bit and bring some halo around them to to pop them out. This particular HDR came from 3 different exposures (-2,0,+2) using a one RAW file. HDR kind of messes people skins so what I do is import one of the original pics (usually the '0') in PS and mask in about 50% back into the HDR. I kind of did this one pretty quick but will probably do it again and bring down some of the reds and blues.

yes the greenery looks cool in HDR. HDR brings out details on shadows and details in bldg structures too. HDR clouds are super cool too. good job, man. :)

you ever checked out Dave Hill? He has awesome PP photo treatment too... very graphic and artsy.

Yes, I have played around with the "Dave Hill Look" and it's a great way to do portraits but it's hard to achieve with regular lighting conditions. Below is one of my results... be kind... I've only played with this for about a week and don't have any fancy lighting equipment on my T1i. But I will keep practicing until I can get close enough. If anyone has some tips let us know..

I am SO blind since I missed that, hahahaha. Are you a pilot?

Also, does anyone have any HDR’s of the Very Large Array? Or something similar to it? I need a new desktop background! :)

Not a pilot, I'm a maintainer.

That pic was from my F-15 ride.

Yeah, it was. :) A really really underexposed one, and then a normally exposed one, then overexposed--except I had to align them.

Also, there were these weird black dots that appeared in the pics. I masked the HDR, and then dabbed the underexposed part with the brush until it went away, then finally I masked the underexposed image to get the overexposed to get it back to normal.

Nice work.. you will learn that HDRs create a lot of noise in pictures. so you will need to run a filter to remove it specially in dark colors and skies/clouds and then mask in anything in detail that might gotten blurred.

What do you think I should run to get rid of the weird black stuff?

Also, just checked the Canon Repair Site for my camera’s status:
