Winter Ivy Member 106 posts Joined May 2009 Location: Maine, USA More info | Hello, I am Diana and this is my maiden post here on POTN. I have been lurking for quite some time...have learned quite a lot. Probably will continue to be a bit of a lurker as I am pretty much as green as you can be in the hobby. Just how green am I? The extent of my knowledge of photography comes from being almost done reading "DSLR's for Dummies." Please stop laughing. Anyway, my darling husband (perhaps having noticed that I purchased a copy of "DSLR's for Dummies" before actually owning a DSLR) walked in the door on April 28, 2009 and surprised me with a box containing the T1i kit, the Nifty Fifty (<---one of the things I have learned here, pretty impressive, huh?), an 8 gb memory card, and a FULLY charged battery. What.A.Guy.
I smell ice cream.

Daffodil Delight
And this one has quite a bit of PP...and she has no elbow...but it was a candid shot while I was messing with the manual focus:
Thanks for looking...I look forward to spending many more hours reading here at POTN. -Diana Diana, member of the mama-razzi equipped with Rebel T1i | Canon 18-55mm IS | Nifty Fifty | Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 Xr Di | Canon 70-200mm f/4L IS USM | 580EX II | Flickr

I had to convert this to flash video and then, of course, upload it to photobucket and all that that implies but here is one anyway:
If for some reason the html embed doesn't work this is the direct link: http://s624.photobucket.com …¤t=MVI_2028_flv.flv ![]() -Diana P.S. Perhaps one day I will share the story of the junk piano in the yard, hahaha. ***ETA: This was taken with the kit lens, 1280x720 @ 30 fps...but like I said...it's now a flash video...
