im trying to shoot more people. its not as easy as it would seem

I`m here to agree with that :)
A while back I was just playing around with different lighting and settings and my "test subject" AKA the wife, was getting seriously bored, I surprised her and fired off a 10 burst round right about the time she decided to yawn.
The pictures suck but were seriously funny from our point of view.

for now i love the T1i. im poor and i got a great deal on it so im going to use it to death. Plus i refuse to pay retail for anything

Played with my daughter today and I thought the light coming in from the sundown was great for photos, so I took the camera and I was really pleased with the results

Playing with light. I've never tried anything like this. C&C Please, but don't be TOO hard on me, lol.

I would... but then I'd have to kill ya.

j/k. It's just my camera on a tripod with a light swinging by a string over top of it. The first one the light was plain, the 2nd I had a piece of pink saran wrap over it, and in the 3rd I started out with the pink, then partway through the exposure I took it off and had it plain again. It wasn't as compilcated as it sounds when I type it all out, LOL

Thanks. All you need is a dark room. The only rooms I have with no window's are my bathrooms. I have a fear of dark bathrooms (someone made me watch Candyman when I was a little too young for it! LOL). Sitting in the pitch black bathroom was the hardest part. :)

The room is pitch black and the light is dangling from a string. Set it swinging, then hit the shutter release. My first exposure was 28 seconds, 2nd was 30 seconds, and the last one was 43 seconds.
