I hear ya, my ideal setup is a 5dII with a 50 1.2L haha

Nothing a 1.2 can that a 1.4 can't ;)

Here are a few shots I did with the T1i. Actually almost all the shots are with the T1i except a few I used the G11. I also the love the Tokina 11-16 lens for it. Cheap and sharp.

This is the same raw file and I made two exposures. Overexposed, the moons and stars, and had to bring down the exposure to get detail in Jupiter.

I have been planning to upgrade, But I will probably just a get a battery grip and spend the money on Glass.

Thanks, it's Canon 100-400L and you are right, upgrade the Glass not the body ;) Nice shots yourself, welcome to the forum!

Genome, how do you like that 17-50 so far, i was planning on picking one up soon but can never get a good opinion on it.

i love it mate. very sharp in both corner and centre at all focal lengths. Tiny bit softer at 50 and f2.8 but still sharp. Stop it down 1/3 to 3.2 and its pin sharp again. Colours / Contrast are great. CA's controlled very well. Autofocus is not full time manual and makes a high pitched sounds but its very fast and accurate, at least it has been for me. Build is very good as well. Font element doesnt rotate which is great for if you use CPL filters as well.

For the money i whole heartedly recommend it. At least the version i have which does NOT have VC. Apparently the version with VC doesnt have as good optics.

I gave a few examples on it a page or two back in this thread so that might help. Im also planning to write a review soon on my website in my sig.
