I went to a War Weekend at Elvington Aerodrome (why isn't it spelt Airodrome like Airport?) this weekend and here's a few shots I took. The model Tank in #1 even had an engine sound effect when it moved, #2 is spoilt a little by having a small child in the back in civvies. #3 was actually set up be another tog but hey! why miss an opportunity, #4 looks quite good as an old sepia shot; I did one but decided not to post it here. I have posted #6 already here in another post but I spent a couple of hours taking the barbed wire out of the shot so I don't consider it a multiple posting (have a look at the before and after, it comes after the cars so scroll down https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=691866 ) #7 is the front end of a Mosquito showing the 4 lower cannons, there's another 4 mounted just above them; the 2 inner ones are just out of shot, #8 is pulling a trailer with an old Matchless Motorcycle on; there were quite a number of old British bikes there and they all lived up to their image with pools of old oil under each one LOL!

Good series, & I love the Mossies, & we just don't see much of them anymore. Got a wider shot?

with pools of old under each one LOL!

Looks like you have "pools of old" standing around them, too! :D

Hi I would like to see 6 as a b+w or sepia - a real Biggles feel to it.

Cool stuff...

Love the R/C Tiger Tank. (The bicycle on the back really makes it...)

There's something about #4. Can't say if it's the casual attitude of the participants or the kind of cold, "snarky" smile on the face of the officer at front right but that one absolutely look like the early color images taken during WWII.

Well Done all around!

Bensherman2, I tried to make the pic look old and crinkled but it didn't really work very well.

Sorry Frank but the hanger wall is just too close to the front of the Mozi for my 17-40 to get all the air frame in, anyway it was being worked on and wasn't looking at it's best as you can see.

Thanks, anyway! It's interesting to see it with the skin removed.
