Photoshop CS4 Dictionary?

I am looking at the The Adobe Photoshop CS4 Dictionary by Philip Andrews and wondering if anyone has thoughts on it.


With my particular learning style, I don't really need books with tutorials. I have been through many, the tips and tutorials format with topical and chapters seems to be the most common, makes sense, but...
what I find I would like is a dictionary or encyclopedia format book that describes each tool within PS CS4 rather then topical or chapter format. Comes from the QAM and engineering background in me perhaps.

Somewhat. It is still topic based. While digital allows for search, in this case I prefer the old school text!
I decided to order the book this afternoon, thowing caution to wind-- using my bosses credit card!

That's what I'd advise, since the manual does all the actual defining. The index is the next best thing to searching help for the item.
