I have a 20d, was looking into buying a cheapo wired shutter release, but came across this wireless one on ebay:

Anyone ever buy this one and have any review info for it..? It doesn't have a hotshoe mount, but thats ok for my use since I usually have my 430ex there anyways. I know most of the cheapies are relatively the same quality, but I though I'd at least ask first..

I do not have that one--- but my phottix looks identical.......and works great! I love my cheap wireless remote -- I typically set one remote camera up at weddings and plan on putting a camera with the phottix remote in the balcony at this weekends wedding.

I have another cheap one:

Works borth wired (very short .. about 6 inches) & wireless. I havent tested the range. I've probably only shot from 10 feet. I use it for self portraits and still life. Never for an event.

Works fine for me. I've found that you sometimes have to just make sure you dont hold it in such a way that your palm covers the majority of the transmitter.

I get maybe 5-10% no-fires & zero fires without pressing the button. I'm using the battery that came with the device & I haven't tried different channels.

Thing that I dont like is they come from hong kong which takes awhile (2 weeks to Seattle). If I was in a rush I'd order from the POTN store:
